Chrysanthemum coronarium

 

A feathery aromatic edible green and flower used on its own or in greens mixes.  I add leaves to my salad mix as they add an herby unique flavor.  The beautiful yellow and white flower is edible as well and can be dried for tea.  Used in Japanese cooking and is an essential ingredient in some hot pot dishes. 

 

This seed was grown down the road by friends Elizabeth and Steven of Tian Tian Farm.

 

Sow in Spring or late Summer.  40 days to maturity
