This deep purple radish has wonderful flavor to go with the unusual dark purple color. Hails originally from Poland. In addition to its striking appearance this radish has a mild flavor and holds its firm crispness over a long period. Purple is such a fun color for food and I'm slowly collecting so many purple vegetable varieties!
Direct sow in early Spring and throughout the year for regular harvest. I mostly start two rounds of radishes in Spring-one in early March in the hoop house then one outdoors in April. If I get to it I love a final sowing in September for a delicious Fall crop. 35 days to maturity.
