Early Mona Spinach

Early Mona is back!  I grew this variety out several years ago and loved it so much I needed to grow more.  Early Mona is quite different in flavor and leaf shape than the Abundant Bloomsdale.  Deep green, smooth leaved, tender spinach is perfect for early Spring and Fall/Winter harvests.  I am still harvesting from my outdoor Fall planting in early December after several light frosts.  Wonderful!  Excellent spinach flavor is perfect mixed with other greens or on its own. Vigorous growth and upright habit.   Original seed from Irish Seed Savers Exchange.  
 
 
Transplant or direct seed in early Spring and in mid September as spinach prefers cooler soils.  Final spacing at 6".   28 days baby leaf, 45 days large leaf.
