Blue Lake has been around for a while and for good reason.  Wonderful for NW growers, the beans are delicious eaten fresh, steamed, or canned.  Bred in the Willamette Valley in the 1960's, Blue Lake Pole Beans grow up to 7’ on vigorous vines.  Hearty, strong bean flavor on this one.  Harvest twice a week for optimum quality and production.

Direct sow when soils have warmed in early May.  Thin to 4" or so.  These need a sturdy trellis!   70 Days to maturity
