Tall, Striking, Old Fashioned flowers perfect for the cottage or natural dye garden. these grow 5-6 feet tall!  They may need staking if you're in a windy spot.  Plants tend to get rust on the leaves but the deep purple/black flowers stay beautiful and bloom over a long period of time.  Likes full sun.  Seeds have naturally low germination rate so oversow to get the most plants.  Space to every foot.  Biennial.  Some plants will bloom the first year but most will wait for the second year.
