Leonurus cardiaca

Motherwort is an old European healing herb used for wombs and hearts. The plants are perennial and grow 4-5 feet tall each year. They are covered in spires of tiny purple flowers and bring joy to insects and humans alike.

Sow seeds directly in the earth or you might have more success starting them in pots in the colds of late Winter or early Spring and transplanting out when they have 4-6 true leaves.. They take 10-15 days to germinate so keep them moist and don’t give up on them. Sprinkle seed on the surface of the soil and press to create contact but do not cover with soil as they need light to germinate.

Please consult your favorite herbal resources for more information about the medicinal qualities of Motherwort.

Packet contains ~100 seeds.
