Herbaceous plant in the parsley family, Lovage leaves are used as a culinary herb. The flavor is a mild anise and celery flavor. Leaves, roots, and seeds are all edible and carry this flavor as well. Perennial. Dies back in the winter but is one of the first to begin to regrow in Spring. Grows up to 6 feet tall! They are wondrous plants to behold.
Sow indoors to transplant outside after last frost. Seeds are naturally low germination rate so oversow. Space 2’ apart. Perennial. 90 days to maturity.
