Hot Biscuits Amaranth
$4.50Price
Amaranthus cruentus
I love growing Amaranths and had to try out the dusty orange Hot Biscuits variety. They did not disappoint! Tall multibranched stems with varied sizes of flower heads are a wonderful pop of orange color for late Summer and Fall bouquets. Plants reached a manageable size of about 5 feet tall. The birds did forage on the seed but left plenty for harvest. All amaranths prefer full sun and heat. They were slow to start in our cool Spring. Wait until mid to late May to start the seeds to plant out in June or direct sow when soils have warmed in mid June. Space 10" apart.
70 Days to maturity
Packet contains ~200 seeds
