Amish Melon

$4.50Price

Cucumis melo

Melons can be tricky in the Northwest but the Amish melon grew beautifully in this less than hot Summer of 2024.  Each plant produces 3-4 sweet smelling, juicy melons perfect for eating right after you harvest.  These have orange flesh and a thick rind.  .  One tough part about growing melons is knowing when they are ripe to pick.  The Amish melon was easy to feel for ripeness by testing for a soft spot on the top of the fruit where they are connected to the main stem.  Fresh melon is worth it for sure so be sure to give Amish a try!  Original seed from Seed Savers Exchange
