Dried Elderberries
Bag contains 5 ounces (or two cups) of dried elderberries. I used dried elderberries to make immune system boosting Elderberry Syrup. This bag contains enough for one quart sized batch. I also add dried elderberries to teas for a lovely sweet flavor.
My Elderberry Syrup Recipe:
Two cups dried Elderberries
5 Cups of water
1/2 ounce of Echinacea Root
Dried Reishi Mushroom
Ginger
Cinnamon
1 Cup Honey
Add all ingredients to a pot and simmer on the stove with the lid on for 30 minutes or so. Strain out the herbs, add the honey to taste and voila! Keeps in the refridgerator for months. Take by the spoonful, add to water or bubble water, or warm a small cup full for a delicious drink.
And if you don't have these ingredients, then no worries. The Elderberry and Honey are the main things you need to make an Elderberry Syrup. Feel free to add other herbs that taste good to you! There are many other recipes out there so feel free to experiment!
