Indigo Dye Class with Monica Wilson-August 19th
Saturday August 19th, 10am-2pm with Monica Wilson
Come experience the wonder of the Indigo Vat in this hands-on dyeing workshop. Learn more about the history and legacy of the amazing Indigo plant.
We will use pre-made organic vats to the dye cloth. We will also visit the indigo patch and learn how we go from seed to leaf to dye pot.
Monica will demonstrate several Indigo resist techniques including Bound resist, Clamp resist, and Stitch resist. You will have the opportunity to try different types as you dye four linen napkins to take home. No experience necessary.
10AM- 2PM
Cost includes all materials: $125

About Monica:
Monica is a creative mother of 3, textile artist, maker and natural dyer. She is a lifelong learner who entered the world of natural dyes a few years ago and hasn't looked back. Combining her love of textiles, sewing, gardening and simple living, natural dyeing continues to inspire and teach her as well as offering an outlet for her creative passion. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and artistic journey with others.
