Indigo Dye Class with Monica Wilson-August 19th
Saturday August 19th, 10am-2pm with Monica Wilson
Come experience the wonder of the Indigo Vat in this hands-on dyeing workshop. Learn more about the history and legacy of the amazing Indigo plant.
We will use pre-made organic vats to the dye cloth. We will also visit the indigo patch and learn how we go from seed to leaf to dye pot.
Monica will demonstrate several Indigo resist techniques including Bound resist, Clamp resist, and Stitch resist. You will have the opportunity to try different types as you dye four linen napkins to take home. No experience necessary.
Cost includes all materials: $125
As part of our commitment to inclusivity and equity we are offering BIPOC scholarships for each workshop. There is no application- only a desire to attend. Please email jennifer@ wilddreamsfarm.org to claim your spot.
