I grow these because they are beautiful seeds. I keep a few in my pockets for good luck and place them on my seasonal alters. This Fava reminds me that sometimes I need to hold a seed in my hand to be reminded of the symbol of abundance that they embody. I also grow them to fix nitrogen in the soil- Favas are some of the best nitrogen fixers- and to delight in harvesting these stunning dark black and some tinged with purple seeds.
